Friends today I am going to discuss fruits that are good for your skin. It is really important to eat healthy and certain foods to help your skin glow. 

These are primarily nutrient-based and not only help optimize every girl's most treasured assets like her skin but also work magically health-wise, keeping you in top condition.

So today I am going to talk to you about the 13 foods to give you glowy skin

Now obviously, there are plenty of healthy fruits that are good for your skin which we should be incorporating in our diets if we want to see healthy skin and overall a healthy body.

1. Red apples. Absolutely wonderful not to be confused by the Golden Delicious or the other type of apples, but red apples specifically have skin lightening vitamins in them they contain rich sources of malic acid which promotes firm and youthful skin.

If you want that tightness around your cheekbone, your jawline all of that...that is where the apples come in. They are a wonderful source for the renewal of skin cells and anything damaging to your skin. 

So definitely if you are out in the Sun and everything and you have those free radicals around, you do want to make sure that you have red apples all the time. 

They are also rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients, flavonoids, polyphenolics which help in keeping your skin ageless and smooth. 

I mean people always say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, well an apple a day will keep the dermatologist away as well. So definitely number 1 on my list is Apple.

2. Oranges: The reason Oranges are regarded as the best fruit for your skin is because of its high level of Vitamin C which creates ligament and scar tissue in the body. 

It actually repairs and maintains skin cells keeping it hydrated, moisturized, and of course flawless enough to feature in a skin commercial. 

Apart from chomping on orange slices directly, you can fruit salad your way to super skin by slicing and peeling them with a few pieces of strawberries and mango. 

Juicing it is an option too as long as you have it immediately to retain its nutrients and get maximum benefits.

3. Cantaloupe: It is particularly a good fruit for the skin and the reason is that it contains vitamins A and C. Now Vitamin A helps skin regeneration but it also does the same thing if you eat it via fruits. 

Cantaloupe helps your skin regenerate it also has Vitamin C which is involved in the formation of collagen.

So what I would like to recommend is to have cantaloupe more often and you will notice that when you eat your skin becomes more glowy it just looks healthier. 

So cut it up and you can eat it with some egg whites in the morning and you will find that it is a really nice breakfast.

4. Strawberries: The next one in my list of fruits that are good for your skin is strawberries which are absolutely delicious and such a beautiful fruit that you would love them for dessert. 

Now strawberries again just like cantaloupe have tons of Vitamin C. According to some studies that people who consume more Vitamin C have fewer wrinkles and less age-related dry skin than those who don't

Vitamin C helps fight free radicals and free radicals are what damaged cells and break down collagen and that's what leads to fine lines and wrinkles. 

So if you want smoother more hydrated skin you can apply strawberries topically or you can eat them and you will notice the difference in your skin.

5. Blueberries: Blueberries are considered as one of the best fruit for skin because they are reloaded with antioxidants that strengthen the collagen in the skin

Collagen is the most abundantly found protein that holds the whole body together. It is found in bones, skin, muscles, and tendons so an excessive amount of that stuff is definitely a good idea. Now, these are slightly more on the expensive side but they make a great option to this list.  

So you might want to consider them. Snacking on these directly or grinding them into a smoothie with a single cup of yogurt are great ways to eat them.

6. Pomegranate: Pomegranates contain vitamin C. It works against the wrinkling effects of sun damage. Besides, pomegranates are packed with ellagic acid and punicalagin. 

Ellagic acid fights with free radical damage to repair damaged cells. Punicalagin helps to preserve collagen which keeps the skin smooth and healthy.

7. Mango: Mango has anti-inflammatory properties and protects your skin from any kind of DNA damage. 

It is also rich in Vitamin A, C, E, and K and also a good source of fiber and dietary sugar making it yummy and juicy but keeping away your gut away from constipation. 

Mango also has healing properties which make it is an ideal fruit to get healthy skin.

It is considered to be one of the best fruit for your skin as it has various minerals like potassium, magnesium and copper and also enriched with vitamins like Vitamin A, B, and C. 

It works wonders in fighting various skin infections, warts, eczema and skin ulcers as it contains anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.  

9. Avocados: Avocados are one of my favorite things to eat I am addicted to this. It contains biotin also known as B7 which promotes cell regeneration and growth. 

You have beautiful lush hair your nails grow long, they are strong. You have beautiful glowing skin. Don’t believe anything about those high content of fat. 

This is good fat this is fat that you need in your body in order to promote glowing skin. It’s got Vitamin E it is one of the richest sources of Vitamin E which is known as the protector of the skin. 

It’s got fatty acids which promote skin with essential lubricants. This is one that you should have maybe one a day or a half of an avocado. 

Try to build it into your repertoire as far as your recipes are concerned. Make salads with it. Have an avocado and tomato sandwich. Of course, welcome guacamole, which makes your sandwich. Very very healthy very nutritious.

10. Bananas: Okay next up in my list is bananas. I have it in my breakfast which makes it more healthy than ever. I grab it for smoothies. I grab it to eat just as is. I pop it in for my lunch meals anything to do with bananas. 

Wonderful rich source of fiber this is going to keep your regular. It’s got minerals, it’s got magnesium and potassium. 

Potassium is wonderful especially if you are doing some athletics and everything potassium is needed to keep those you know muscles and tone and not to cramp up on you. It’s wonderful for de-clogging your pores. 

It’s a detoxifier again, makes your skin glow. It’s got a bunch of minerals and vitamins in it and it keeps your skin wrinkle-free.

Eliminates those age spots so if you are starting to get age spots around your hands or your face, start eating that banana because that is going to clear it up and then, of course, another high-content food for Vitamin E which is again your natural anti-aging vitamin that is the Vitamin A you know the number one vitamin for keeping your skin youthful so always have some bananas on hand. Incorporate them any way you can.

11. Watermelon: Okay my list for fruits that are good for skin would be incomplete if I didn’t include watermelon ...especially summer, springtime, whenever, late, late summer if you can get a hold of fresh watermelon. 

They contain lycopene which is also in tomatoes so that’s another thing that you can eat that has high vitamin C content in it. But definitely, watermelons are rich in Vitamin A, of course for your skin there is nothing better than vitamin A which is also in carrots. 

Watermelon is again something that you can incorporate into your diet. Have it as a dessert instead of your sugary desserts. 

It is an antioxidant, its free radicals; it eliminates so much from your body. It’s Mother Nature’s detoxifier. You can even use the juice to just drink it and incorporate it into smoothies. A wonderful detoxifier.

12. Lemon: Lemon is a primary Source of Vitamin C and folic acid help decrease levels of cholesterol and uric acid in your blood. 

And due to its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities if you have them on a regular basis it will help in improving the appearance and condition of your skin. 

Drink Lemon juice on an empty stomach to clean the colon and Detoxify your body, your body will absorb its nutrients first of all and you will feel healthy and radiant.

13. Carrots: Carrot has a substance known as beta-carotene that your body converts to Vitamin A. It helps the retina and other parts of the eye to function properly.

It protects your skin from photo-aging premature wrinkling which is caused due to excessive exposure to the UV Rays.

Basically, it is what you eat that directly reflects in your skin health. Hence, it is very important to include the necessary nutrients in your diet to protect your skin from any damage and making it attractive and healthy.
