Today in this article, I am going to share with you 13 different ways to stay healthy. These are all about supporting your overall health and well being.

With 13 simple tips that are going to support your health, support your wellbeing, support your mental health and support your immune system.

So with all of the craziness that is going on right now in the world I think it is really important for us to take a step back and look at the basics. 

And these are just 13 simple things that you can incorporate into your day to day life that is really going to support your overall health.

They are really just going to help you stay healthy and hopefully help you also stay mentally healthy. So like I said, they are 13 simple things that you can do every single day. 

We all honestly should be doing these 13 things regardless of what is going on in the world because they are all just like good things to be doing.

1. Dark Green Vegetables: Dark green vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, spinach have a ton of nutrients. They are really great for your gut, they have a lot of antioxidants which is very essential for your immune system to stay healthy. And of course, they are also really delicious.

2. Eat when you are hungry: I know it can be difficult when like you don’t know what else to do so you just like to eat when you are snacking or if everyone else is snacking around. 

Basically, you eat because everyone around you are eating but you should be eating when you are hungry because that is only when your body actually wants food.

3. Never skip your breakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because you need to break that fast between when you were sleeping so make sure you get something really nice and healthy. 

But make sure you do that before you start your day so that you are not starving and that’s the way you can concentrate better because your brain has the glucose and the fuel from your food.

4. Include Antioxidant and Vitamin C rich fruit in diet: Having your breakfast in the morning full of antioxidants and Vitamin C is a great way to support your immune system and stay healthy. 

Smoothies are gentle on the system and also easy to digest, it is an easy way for you to absorb a lot of nutrients and they are also really easy and simple to make.

Fruits like berries that are really high in antioxidants, especially blueberries and blackberries and raspberries, strawberries are also great. 

And then Vitamin C rich fruits include all of the citruses. So grapefruit, orange and lemon, and lime are among the best.

5. Healthy fats: So eating things like avocados, nuts, seeds not only are they going to keep you fuller longer but healthy fats actually help you burn fat so you are doing yourself like a favor.

6. Probiotic-rich foods: Probiotic-rich foods are to be incorporating in our diet. As our gut is directly related to the health of our immune system so they are directly correlated. 

As it is directly correlated to our brain and kind of supporting our mental health. So supporting your gut should be the goal and you can do that by incorporating probiotic-rich foods.

So probiotic-rich foods that are basically fermented include things like kimchi, sauerkraut, tempeh, and yogurt are really nourishing to your gut which is directly supporting our immune system makes you stay healthy.

7. Take a break: Make sure you take a 10-20 minute break in between your work. According to studies it is showed that your brain's ability to concentrate actually declines after 50 minutes. 

So it would be good for you to take a break and go outside walk around and have fresh air that little bit of fresh air will do wonders. It will actually elevate your mood and help you to concentrate on your work again.

8. Natural supplements: Including natural supplements to your diet support immune health and help you to stay healthy. Some examples of natural supplements are Echinacea, elderberry syrup. 

Zinc and Vitamin C obviously is another huge one that will just support your system. And it’s not going to necessarily prevent you from getting sick but it is going to boost your immune system. And help you to stay healthy.

9. Regular Exercise: Regular exercise is a really great way to not only support your physical health but your mental health as well. Sweating and moving your body and getting your heart rate going is something that is really important for staying sane yes, but also staying healthy.

So doing workouts, running outside, walking, or doing fitness classes is the way to go. So I think it is important that you try to get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise every single day. 

It doesn’t have to be an intense workout. It could be a 30-minute moderate exercise or could be a 30-minute brisk walk. 

Just really try to get your body moving, get your blood flowing, get circulation moving. It is really going to support your physical as well as your mental health.

10. Avoid Multitasking while eating: Never multitask while you are eating that is because you will end up eating a lot more and you won’t be like enjoying and aware of what you are eating as well. 

Like if you have like a whole bag of chips, the whole bag of chips can be gone so just make sure you take the time to separate when you are studying or doing work and when you are eating.

11. Sleep: Sleep is one of the most important things that we can do for our health. When we don’t get enough sleep we compromise our immune system. And it just really can hurt everything from metabolism, immunity, etc.

So what I am recommending, a minimum of eight hours every single night and you really need to focus on making sure that you are getting a full night's sleep. 

Try essential oils, something that is just going to help you be like restful and also turning off your phone like 30 minutes before bed will also really help.

12. Stay Hydrated: Staying hydrated is really easy when we home make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water even when you are traveling. 

It affects not only our immune system but also our metabolism. Staying Hydrated helps us to keep our body system function properly. 

It keeps things running smoothly, making sure that we are staying energized, and also balance our appetite. 

It also makes sure that our metabolism is functioning and everything is just like working properly. So I would recommend drinking 7-8 glasses of water per day should be your goal.

Tea is also another way that you can incorporate in the hydration piece. Herbal teas are amazing. 

But having herbal tea throughout the day is just another great way to stay hydrated and it kind of gives you a little water breaks if you are feeling sick of water.

13. Stress. What we are going through right now around the world is incredible stress which is a major factor in staying healthy both mentally and physically. And it is really important that we try to manage all of that stress.

Hence, in order to stay healthy we could build up habits like meditation, exercise, reading a book for fun, and cooking our favorite food at times could be great. 

Something that is really just going to like soothe our soul, soothe our mental health, and help us recharge is really, important during this time. I hope that that like makes sense.
